Anonymous writes "Hi Gerry
How are you keeping, well I trust? the last time I saw you was when we met at your pub with Harada Sensei one evening. I was only talking of you with Haydyn Foster and Ralph Reynolds recently. we thought that you were living in Spain? you are right of course that the story of Abbe sensei is not fully told. and amongst all those who claim to have "been great friends of Abbe Sensei" :-)) , you were a good Judoka with the master.
We are celebrating 50 years of British Aikido 1955 - 2005. May 14th - 2005 at Crystal Palace Sports Arena, London, we will also honour the other Budo Arts and I have invited Harada Sensei, please attend Gerry, as my guest.
you can contact me on ellisaikido@hotmail.com.
Kind regards and great memories.
Harry Ellis."

farming family in an area of the Wakayama Prefecture now known as Tanabe. Among
five children, he was the only son. From his father Yoroku, he inherited a
samurai's determination and interest in public affairs..
